Data Deletion

Request deletion.
Unlink providers.
Verify ownership.

Use the account email when possible so we can verify ownership safely.

How to request deletion

  1. Email support@swapthing.org from the email address on your SwapThing account.
  2. Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request.
  3. Include your public @handle if you know it.

We will verify the request and remove or anonymize account data that is not needed for safety, legal, fraud-prevention, or completed-transaction records.

Facebook login data

If you used Facebook Login, include “Facebook Login” in your request. We will unlink your Facebook account from SwapThing and remove the Facebook provider ID stored for sign-in.

We do not store your Facebook password. We do not ask Facebook for permissions beyond public profile and email.

Response time

We aim to respond within 30 days. If we need more information to verify ownership, we will contact you using your account email.
